Mebane Historical Society
Seeks Volunteer Docents

July 11th Training Session

The Mebane Historical Society, located at 210 W. Lee Street, is recruiting volunteers to serve as visitor guides during hours of operation (currently Mondays and Fridays 10-5 and Sundays 2-4) and for special events.  These volunteers, or Docents, will work with the director to inform visitors about the Museum and its collections.  In addition, they are invited to participate in simple office activities and projects of special interest

A brief training session will be held on Sunday, July 11 from 2-4 pm at the Museum and is open to anyone who would like to attend.  If you are interested in becoming a Docent but are unable to attend this session, please contact Interim Director Peggy Boswell at 919-563-5054 to discuss additional training and volunteer opportunities.  The Museum is located in the old Recreation complex, behind the tennis courts on S. Third Street.
